These digital liner notes are composed of a spontaneous one-take audio recording (25:09 mins) and the accompanying 54 page lyric booklet which can be viewed as a video presentation or downloaded as an mp4/PDF on my website.
Methodological Notes.
The “Space Junk Digital Liner Notes” are composed of an unscripted, unedited one-take voice memo on the methods and concepts/themes behind the album, in conjunction with the 54-page digital lyric booklet which can viewed as an online presentation (MP4) or PDF.
The booklet contains the full lyrics from the album which I designed by embedding them onto the original performance photography from the self-directed photo shoot in Glasgow, 2023. I incorporated a hybrid format to instil intimacy and emotion through relaying the methods in an immediate, unscripted, and unedited voice note. I also experimented with the framing of my composition on the page, and with various overlays of text and image to lend a visual dimension to each song.
